The 2024 BECE BECE Marking Schemes have been sighted by Education-News Consult. The BECE administered to candidates by WAEC this year covered 11 subjects. The first BECE administered based on the new curriculum was held from 8th July to 15th July 2024.
Marking of the examination scripts officially commenced on 17th September and is expected to end on 12th October 2024.
The marking schemes have started popping up on social media. In this post, we share with readers (students, teachers, and parents) the marking schemes and when we have them.
Students and teachers can use the marking scheme to measure the likely performance.
They can also be used to understand the demands of the questions for the next BECE in terms of how learners are expected to answer questions.
Teachers are encouraged to train their learners to improve their logic and critical thinking skills, as well as their comprehension skills.
Helping learners work on their ability to deconstruct questions can go a long way to help improve question understanding and answering skills. To deconstruct questions means breaking the question down to understand it before answering it.
