Ahead of the 2025 BECE scheduled for June 9th to 16th, WAEC has released a new official timetable for the examination. The new timetable for the examination deviates from the normal timetable for the Junior High School leaving examination, which has been in existence since 1990. The timetable can be downloaded as well from this publication.
Per the new timetable, WAEC will administer Social Studies and Computing on Monday instead of the usual English Language and Religious and Moral Education, which have been written by candidates on day one of the exam for 34 years.
The 35th edition of the BECE will be written based on the newly released timetable below.

Where the duration indicated on the question paper differs from that on the timetable, the one on the question paper should be followed.

- Extra Time for Visually and Hearing Impaired Candifates
Candidates with visual and hearing impairments are to be allowed an additional 50% of the time allotted to other candidates.
All stakeholders should look out for the official date and examination timetable from the WAEC/GES in the coming months.
