Education-News Consult, Ghana’s best home mock experts, will start the January 2025 BECE Home Mock (Akwaaba Mock) on Friday, 24th January 2025. The January mock will be the 4th mock examination to be organized for candidates preparing for the 2025 examination, which is expected to take place in June 2025.
Parents and guardians will receive their respective questions via our laid-out systems online on Thursday, 23rd January 2025, before 12 midday. This is to enable those who intend to print them to do so at least a day before the mock.
Parents are to ensure that their wards do not have access to any of the mock questions before the actual time for writing the mock at home.
The 2025 BECE Home Mock dubbed Akwaaba Mock will go beyond testing students’ knowledge for each subject. The mock will also test the ability of candidates to solve more questions within a limited time. For instance, candidates will in some instances have 50 objective questions to solve in 45 minutes. In other instances, they will have to solve more section B questions in a limited time.

In all instances ,the candidates are expected to maintain a high level of accuracy, manage their time effectivel,y and offer good, well-thought-out answers.
What we expect from candidates and parents during the January 2025 BECE Home Mock (Akwaaba Mock)
- Parents should ensure the candidates are invigilated and not left on their own during each mock paper.
- Parents should ensure they follow the valid submission procedures and submit scripts on time for marking and grading.
- Parents should not allocate more than the time allocated on the question paper.
- Candidates must ensure they write information-rich answers that are self-explanatory.
- Candidates should not in any way use AI-generated answers. Any script with such traces will be canceled.
- Candidates should show workings in all instances if they are answering any Section B questions that demand calculations.
- Candidates are to read through their work and make corrections to avoid losing marks.
The examination will take 2 weeks to complete and below is the standard timetable.
In week 1, from 24th January to 26th January, candidates will write English Language, Integrated Science, RME, Maths, and Social Studies.
In week two, from 1st February to 2nd February, the remaining subjects, thus Computing, Creative Arts, and Desig,n and Career Technology, will be administered as per the timetable below.

However, for parents who want their learners to complete the exam ahead of time, the last three papers can be administered. Monday to Wednesday from 7 pm to 9 pm each night.
This flexibility ensures that no student or candidate is left behind and the timetable is made as flexible as possible.
