The 2024 SHS Schools placement portal is expected to go live between 23rd and 27th October 2024, to enable the schools into which students have been placed to be checked by parents and candidates. How do you check the placement? That is the question this post will answer. According to a press release by the Ministry of Education (MoE) dated October 25th, the 2024 school placement will be checked for free. This means you do not need a placement checker to check.  Whether you have bought or not bought a placement checker, you will be able to check the placement without it.

How do I check my 2024 school placement?

To check your SHS or school placement the easy way, follow the “How to Check 2024 BECE School Placement simple guide” here.

1. Go to the CSSPS Portal: https://cssps.gov.gh/.
2. Enter your 10-digit BECE index number, followed by the year you sat the exam. e.g., 100000000024 (where 24 is the year 2024).
3. Click on Proceed/ Submit
4. Wait for the placement page to load with your placement details. Your school placement will appear after a few seconds.
5. Finally, click on the Print option to print or save as a PDF.

Now, it is a fact that not all BECE 2024 graduates will be placed. If you pass the exam but are not placed, you will be required to do self-placement. Selg placement is a chance, giving students not placed to manually select a region, a school, a program, and an accommodation type and then confirm the choice to be placed. Below is the procedure to follow just in case you have to do self-placement.

How to Use CSSPS Self Placement with CSSPS Placement Voucher

Step 1: Go to the CSSPS Self Placement Website Online at www.sp.cssps.gov.gh.

Step 2: Select the check placement module. Click on the check placement button on the CSSPS website.

Step 3: Enter your index number and voucher pin.

Step 4: You will be redirected to the self-placement module.

Step 5: Choose the region, the school, program, and accommodation type.

Step 6: Click on submit to get placed if the school and the program choice are still available.
