The Education-News Consult will organise the first BECE mock examination for basic 9 learners preparing for their BECE in 2025 this week.
Students who are writing the examination from home across the country will start their examination on Friday, October 4, 2024, and end on 13th October 2024.
Schools writing the October 2024 mock examination will commence the assessment on Monday, 7th October, and end on Friday, 11th October 2024.
The mock, which will test candidates based on the basic 7 and 8 curriculum, has been dubbed the foundation mock. In all, there will be two foundation mock examinations, with the second one to be held in November. The final mock exam will be the end of term/mock, which will cover Basic 9 term 1, Basic 8 and 7 curriculum.
While candidates writing from home are sitting only 8 subjects, schools are sitting 10 subjects in all.
The examination will test the foundation of students and help parents and schools have a fair idea of how strong or wabbling their would-be candidates are with regards to the areas accessed.

2025 BECE mock examination: HOW THE BECE HOME MOCK WORKS AND HOW TO REGISTER YOUR WARD FOR EXCELLENT RESULTS
This mock examination question is well crafted with several question structures that will test the critical thinking skills and logic reasoning abilities of the candidate.
Prior to the 2024 BECE, while almost all BECE examination firms were assessing candidates with direct questions, Education-News Consult led the way by ensuring that learners enrolled for the mock examinations are tested with application and critical reasoning questions. This started in January 2024 and went on for 6 months before WAEC and NaCCA introduced their sample questions, which were in line with our mock question approach.
This gave our candidates, whom we had nurtured through the mock questions, an upper hand compared to their peers in schools.
As we prepare candidates for the 2025 BECE, we challenge parents and schools that have sourced for our mock examinations to take each topic and question accessed in each mock seriously. Candidate re challenged to make use of the tip bits. Parents and schools are to ensure that they apply recommendations we provide in the respective chief examiner’s reports to help their candidates get super ready for the final exam.
