Following the release of the 2024 BECE results, the Heads of SHS/TVI Portal (2024/2025), where schools will verify candidates of the 2024 BECE placed in them, is now live and operational.
Only head teachers of public senior high schools have access to this portal to view the placements made in their respective schools through the CSSPS system. The portal where students and parents will check their respective school placements is www.cssps.gov.gh.
While the https://hm.cssps.gov.gh/ is live, the main CSSPS portal is currently down. Once the computerized school selection and placement system uploads and updates the respective schools that have placed the 2024 BECE graduates, we expect the Ghana Education Service to go live.

Despite the CSSPS being regarded as a fair placement system, the protocol system permits up to 10% of students, irrespective of their performance, to be placed in “better category A and B schools.”
The GES reserved 30% of all placements in Category A schools for candidates who attended public schools. This policy will be in full force. This implies that the government will assign more students from public schools to Category A schools than those from private schools. Despite complaints from head teachers of private schools, teachers, and parents assigned to private schools, the government has remained silent.
The GES will also place as many candidates who meet the placement requirements fully, while the rest who pass but cannot be placed will be permitted to use the self-placement module. If a student is unable to verify their school placement or receives no placement, it could be due to their attainment of grade 9 in mathematics, English language, or both subjects.
When checking and placing the candidate, parents should make sure to print out the school placement documents. Make sure to check early and use the self-placement module if your placement is not automatic.
