2024 BECE Marking Date and Updates
Information available to the GlobalCurrent24 news portal on Ghana is that the marking of the 2024 BECE scripts will start from mid August.
However, after all subjects have been marked and crossed-checked, a series of internal WAEC processes are carried out before the results are finally uploaded and released.
One important indicator that WEAC is about to release the BECE results is the release of the BECE result checkers for assessing the results online.
How to check the 2024 BECE results released by WAEC
To check the result, follow the steps below on either a phone, a desktop, tablet, or laptop. Note that when the results are released, the best gadgets for checking when so much traffic is going to the site are tablets or laptops.
And the best time to check the results is from 10 pm to 4 pm each day due to the high traffic to the site from 4 am to 10 pm each day.
To check the results:
- It is important for parents and students to note that the 2024 BECE results, just like the previous ones, will be released on the portal >>>eresults.waecgh.org
- Enter your correct index number.
- Confirm the index number by entering it in the next box provided on the site.
- Select the exam type (BECE School) for public and private school candidates and (BECE Private) for those who, for instance, sat the resit exam.
- Enter the result checker serial number.
- Enter the result checker PIN number.
- Thick the “I AM NOT A ROBOT” ReCapture.
- Click “SUBMIT” and wait patiently for the result.
If your result or some subjects are withheld by WAEC, you will not have a complete result.
In case you enter the wrong index number or enter the wrong voucher details while attempting to check your result, you are likely to spoil the voucher. This means you will have to buy a new voucher to be able to check the results.

Secondary School Selection Date and Updates
Information GlobalCurrent24 has picked is that BECE graduates will start selecting schools from August 23, 2024. This is two days after the end of 2024 BECE marking by examiners.
Candidates may select at least six schools with at least one day school. The Ghana Education Service is yet to release the full details of the procedures.
2024 BECE Results Release Date and Updates
SHS1 students will be reporting to school on 27th September, 2024. This means the results are most likely to be released by WACK in the in the first week of September. Candidates and parents are advised to get the result checkers to check the result.

How to check 2023 school placements/self placement
- Obtain a placement pin code from an approved vendor.
- Log onto the siteย www.cssps.gov.gh.
- Enter the ten-digit index number and add 23 as the year of completion. E.g.: 123456789023
- Enter the pin code details (serial number and pin).
- Click on submit and wait for placement to show up.
- Print your enrolment form, placement slip, and prospectus.
