The scholarship is founded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. There are two categories of awards that will be offered to applicants who deserve them. These are the Chevening Scholarships and Chevening Fellowships.

Who qualifies to apply for the scholarship?
All applicants must meet the following basic criteria to be deemed eligible:
- The applicant must be able to speak and write English since it will be the language of communication and tutoring.
- The applicant must come from one of the countries listed below.
- The applicant must be ready to return to his country after studying (he or she must return and live in his or her home country for at least two years after the study).
- Before applying, the applicant must have completed their undergraduate degree to be able to apply for the postgraduate program at a UK university. You must have graduated at the time you are applying.
