The Ghana Education Service (GES) announces the reopening date for SHS/SHST1 semester 2 students. This was contained in a press release by the GES.
The reopening date announced is for all students in Transition Schools.
What is the reopening date for SHS/SHST1 semester 2 students?
According to the GES, the revised reopening date for the SHS/SHST1 semester two (2) is 27th September 2024.
The students are expected to be in school until they vacate on December 5, 2024.
Parents, students, and the general public are to note that the above reopening date is not for 2024 BECE graduates waiting for the BECE results and the school placements to facilitate their enrolment.
The 27th September 2024 and the Form 1 students described in this post are all 2023/2024 BECE graduates who are still in Form 1 but will be reopening for their second semester to complete the academic year.
Heads of schools are to note that all other activities, programs, and arrangements for the semester remain unchanged. The letter added that the information provided on the reopening date supersedes all earlier communications about this subject matter.

2024 BECE graduates are to note that at the time of this publication, the GES has not come out with a new date for reopening for new SHS1 or SHST students. The BECE script marking has however started as of 17th September 2024. Marking is expected to be completed by 11th October 2024.
