KNUST releases the 1st batch of admissions and updates for students who chose the wrong programs. The KNUST has indicated that applicants from selected, less endowed senior high schools have been offered admission to KNUST. The offer is in line with the university’s policy to provide opportunities to students from less endowed SHSs to help them access tertiary education at KNUST.
The university has directed that such students be helped to access their admission status at apps.knust.edu.gh/admissions/check.

Dear prospective applicants for KNUST admission into 1st-degree programs, take note of the following:
General Arts students cannot apply for BSc nursing and/or BSc midwifery or other Health Science programs at KNUST.
Only General Science students can apply. Key subjects considered are biology, chemistry, and physics, or E. mathematics.
Home Economics students are not eligible to be offered a BSc Food Science & Technology program at KNUST.
Key subject requirements are chemistry and biology.
KNUST does not offer Information Technology (IT) as a regular program. It is offered as a diploma program under IDL on weekends.
KNUST runs Bsc Computer Science and Bsc. Computer Engineering only.

Key subject requirements for computer science are elective mathematics, physics, and chemistry or applied electricity/electronics.
Key subject requirements for computer engineering are elective math, physics, and electronics/applied electricity.
