KNUST PAPSS Fee Payment for International Students Introduced

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has introduced the KNUST PAPSS Fee Payment for International Students. The newly introduced Pan-African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS) by selected banks in Ghana to make payments across African borders will enable students of the university to have a stress fee payment.

The PAPSS will ensure that international students of KNUST are able to pay their fees from their countries before arriving in Ghana. It also allows the students to pay their KNUST fees in their respective local currencies.

A student from Nigeria who gains admission to KNUST, for instance, can effortlessly pay his or her fees in Nigerian naira using the PAPSS, while KNUST will receive the equivalent of the amount paid in Ghanaian cedi. Selected banks in Ghana and across Africa are offering this new service, which is welcome news.

The era of fee transfer challenges is over with the introduction of the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS). International students can now pay their fees through the PAPSS from the following banks: Prudential Bank, Access Bank, GT Bank, UBA, First Bank, Fidelity Bank, Zenith Bank, and other banks that provide the PAPSS service.

How to Pay Your Fees with PAPSS

To pay your KNUST fees using PAPSS, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Visit one of the banks that offer the PAPSS service in your country.

Once an international student provides the bank with the aforementioned details, the bank staff at the designated teller will process the payment, issue the necessary documentation to the student as proof of payment, and transfer the fee into the KNUST bank account via the PAPSS system.

The introduction of the PAPSS will make all kinds of payments easy, not only the payment of school fees. Parents can also use the PAPSS to send maintenance money and other funds to students from other African countries studying at KNUST. Students from other universities can also verify with their administration and accounts offices if their universities have registered for the service, thereby simplifying their payment systems for international students.
