In a related development, the release of the postings by the GES has been greeted with mixed reactions by teachers and the general public. Many have asked why the government would always hold on to the recruitment of qualified teachers and make them go through several years of unemployment until elections are due. The release of the 2024 posting is about 2 weeks shy of the 2024 general elections scheduled for December 7th, 2024.
