Step 1: Print the 2024 School Placement Slip

If you receive a placement, print the school placement files from the CSSPSFrequently, you will need to print the placement documents.lacement.

This is usually less than two sheets of paper. It contains the summary of your placement as a BECE candidate. You will find information, such as

A. The candidate’s raw score

b. SHS/TVET schools chosen: The list of schools you selected will be arranged in order of preference.

c. In the SHS/TVET, the candidate has been placed

d. The program offered the candidate. An example is general science.

e. The district in which the school you are placed is located.

f. The region the school can be found in or is located in.

g. You will find the subjects considered by the GES/MoE in arriving at your total raw score.

Step 2: Print the candidate placement form.

The second document you print from the CSSPS portal is the candidate placement form. Print two copies of this form.

Personal information for the candidate should be submitted here to the head of the senior high school or TVET school you were placed at.

The form requires the following detailed information: the student’s biodata, parents’ details, and their interests (e.g., athletics, football, debate/science club, etc.). Students will provide information about leadership positions held at the JHS level, such as school prefect, compound overseer, etc.

Lastly, an adult, parent, or guardian must witness the student sign a bond of good behavior at the end of the form.

Someone holding a higher public office will have to sign the placement form for you. Head teachers can help if school is close to home. Parents can also arrange for a senior officer, a reverend minister from a reputable church, or an imam to sign this document on your behalf.

Step 3: Print the prospectus that came with your placement.

Students enrolled in boarding schools receive a general prospectus, as well as additional prospectuses labeled C, DD, and so on. You must purchase and submit the items listed in the prospectus on the day you report to school. Parents who have placed their wards in boarding schools will spend less than GFHS 3500 to prepare their wards for school.

Step 4: Results and passport pictures

Get four passport-size pictures, an envelope, and copies of the BECE results and the placement documents printed.

Step 5: Visit the school physically or online

Parents would have to physically visit most schools to start the enrollment process. Some schools have an online payment and enrollment portal, which will require parents to use it instead of traveling to the school to complete the same processes ahead of reporting.
