For the over 100,000 BECE graduates who did not receive placement in any of the 11 schools they selected, the Ministry of Education has finally activated the 2024 School Self Placement Module.
Candidates can now use the self-placement portal to either change their schools or make a new choice entirely.
A total of 104,918 students who passed the BECE but were unable to secure placement in one of their 11 school choices will need the self-placement module. However, the Ministry of Education has also assigned approximately 73,390 students to schools that were similar to their chosen ones but did not secure placement.
Students who were placed automatically into one of the schools they chose cannot use the self-placement module to change their placement.

Most schools have rolled out online admission processes. We advise parents to reach out to the schools assigned to their wards for guidance on navigating the school’s online admission process.
