Question 1:

Gerald, a Basic 1 pupil, brought a box containing 15 bottles labeled as follows:.

You are provided with a magnified image of an animal cell under a microscope. The cell has been stained to clearly highlight its organelles. Study the image carefully and use the information provided below to answer the questions that follow.

Question 3

The water cycle is a natural process that continuously recycles water in different forms: liquid, solid, and gas. In Ghana, the towns of Axim, Sekondi, and Takoradi often experience frequent rainfall due to their proximity to the coast.

Question a : Identify the natural sources of water.

Question b: Lists and explain the four stages of the water cycle as shown in the image above.

Question c: Explain why the water cycle is a repeated pattern in nature

Question d:  Describe the water cycle and explain how it operates as a repeated pattern in nature. Use the towns of Axim, Sekondi, and Takoradi to illustrate your points.

Question e:  Describe Four (4) importance of the water cycle to Axim, Sekondi, and Takoradi in Ghana.

Question 4:

In a small town called Abenaase in Ghana, where the rains frequently fall, the residents are used to seeing houseflies around their homes, especially during the rainy and mango seasons. These houseflies are locally known as “Anansewa.” The town’s sanitation officer, Mr. Kofi, wants to educate the children in the community about the life cycle of the housefly to help them understand how these insects develop and how they can help reduce their population by maintaining cleanliness. He invited you to give the talk to the children in the town and showed you the image below. Use the information above and the image below to answer the questions that follow.

Question a:  Identify and describe the stages of the life cycle of the housefly to the children.

Question b: Explain two reasons why houseflies can be a danger to humans and the people of Abenaase in Ghana.

Question c: Suggest to the children how to reduce the effects of housefly activities in our homes.

Question d: Design an intervention that can reduce the effects of the activities of the housefly on humans and educate people of your community about the intervention.
