Has WAEC/NACCA Confirmed the kind of questions they will be asking candidates?

They have confirmed based on the two different sample questions released by the two institutions. If the questions follow the WAEC sample questions for 2024 BECE based on the Common Core Curriculum, candidates will find it easier to handle. However, should the questions follow the sample released by NaCCA, then candidates must think even more critically.

The information available to Education-News Consult is that there has been some level of engagement between NaCCA, WAEC, and other stakeholders regarding the structure of the questions and the kind of questions to be asked per the samples released. This means that the 2024 BECE will see a blend of questions just as the two separate sample questions released in April 2024.

What will be the grading system for the 2024 BECE?

The toughest BECE Grading System WAEC is likely to use is as follows. However, the performance of candidates in the exam may call for either a downward or upward review of the grading ranges.

Check the likely grading system and target your desired score with your answers.

90-100 = 1

80-89 = 2

70- 79=3

60-69 = 4

55-59 = 5

50-54= 6

40-49 = 7

35-39 = 8

0-34 = 9

All candidates would target between 80 and 100 for each subject. Your answers will determine what you score hence write clearly, and provide the examiner with useful information he or she wants to see in your answer booklet. Work hard on the objective test paper and score at least 30 out of 40 to stand a chance of doing well. A low score in section A will seriously affect your chances of obtaining a grade of 1 or 2.
