Today, WAEC released its usual update prior to the commencement of BECE, which included information on the 2024 BECE Arrangement and Areas. While many have focused on the number of candidates among others in that release, our data team at Education-News Consult analyzed it differently.

In April, NaCCA released sample questions for the 2024 BECE in English, Mathematics, and Integrated Science, but did not provide answers. Subsequently, they released their final release, which included answers to some of these questions in the format that WAEC will be using for the 2024 BECE.

WAEC also released its sample questions, which covered all eleven subjects to be administered during the 2024 BECE from July 8th to July 15th, 2024.

While the differences in the question structure between WAEC and NaCCA are different, they are both based on the Common Core Curriculum. WAEC has hinted that its 2024 BECE questions (critical thinking, application, and case studies) will follow its question sample more than that of NaCCA.
