The release of the 2024 results for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is expected soon, per information that is making waves online.
This follows the successful completion of the marking of the scripts of the over 400,000 candidates who took the examination from July 8 to July 15, 2024.
‘What is the date for the release of the 2024 BECE results?
While WAEC and GES have not released any official statements on the exact date for the release of the results, the result is projected to be released by the end of October to the first week of November 2024. WAEC is projected to release the 2024 BECE results in the middle of this month, which is from the 21st to the 26th of October 2024.
Candidates and parents are to keep the following timeline activities in mind.
1. The release of BECE results checkers or vouchers prior to the release of the results.
2. Release of the result and a press release by WAEC.
3. Checking of results. Some candidates are likely to have one or more of their results canceled or withheld by WAEC for diverse exam offences.
4. Release of school placements for students who passed the exam. Those who passed but were not placed will be required to use the self-placement module to get placed.
In a related development, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the commencement of the upload of 2024 BECE candidates’ SHS selection onto the Computerized School Selection Portal (CSSPS).
Students would be placed into public and private secondary schools they selected if they passed and met all placement requirements, such as accommodation choice and program selection.

As part of preparations for the 2024 school placement exercise, the management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) wishes to inform you that the entry and uploading of 2024 BECE candidates’ school choices begins on 12th October and ends on 16th October 2024.
Candidates who took the 2024 BECE as private candidates are advised to visit www.waecinternetsolution.org. They are to log in using their date of birth as their password to access the portal.
