Following the end of the 2024 BECE, the Ghana Education Service is expected to organise a one-week school selection sensitivity exercise at all levels to help parents, schools, candidates, and the general public get informed as far as the school selection processes for 2024 are concerned.
However, at the time of this publication, the GES had yet to update stakeholders on its road map regarding school selection and pre-selection sensitisation.
The silence of the GES could mean the management is working hard behind the scenes to ensure all the processes are clearly outlined and to usher in the school selection process soon without any errors.
The date and related resources are yet to be made public. Several parents and students have been contacting the Education-News consult for the latest update on the issues. However, we are not in a position to provide additional updates on the pending issues because the GES has not released any details.
One of the latest requests for updates on the above is below:
“Please, good evening to you all. Please, we are still waiting for the last update from the Ghana Education Service to sensitise us on our BECE selection of schools. Please update us on when the examiners will start marking the papers and when the results will be out.”
Questions coming in regarding the 2024 BECE Candidates School Selection Sensitization include the following:
- When Is 2024 BECE Secondary School Selection Sensitization starting?
- When will the 2024 school selection sensitivity start?
- When will we start the school selection itself? Is it still August 23rd?
- How many schools will candidates be selecting during the school selection?
- Are students selecting schools before or after the release of the 2024 BECE results?
- Will candidates be selected from 11 schools, just as was the case in 2023?
- When will the 2024 BECE results be released by WAEC?
