- He summoned those accusing him to a river god in the area and was arrested after a report was officially made at the police station.
The teacher, while responding to questions during the Oyerepa Afutuo program hosted by Anti Naa on Oyerepa FM, disclosed that he has never had any affair with the said student before, neither has he attempted to force himself on her nor slept with her forcefully as the girl had alleged.
The female student, whose name was only given as Patricia, had been put in a family way after she traveled for holidays, according to the grandmother of the girl.
The grandmother added that, after noticing a change in the girl, her granddaughter called her early morning and confessed that she was impregnated by his teacher.
Upon confronting the teacher, Eric Dwamen, he denied any knowledge of what we had been accused of. The teacher according to the grandmother of the girl summoned them to a river god even though he the teacher was an usher at a church in the community.
Following a report by the grandmother, the teacher was arrested, and the case was processed in court at Kade and Asamankese in the Eastern Region.
Both families later agreed to settle the matter privately.
The student’s family demanded GHS 20,000 from the teacher, which he was unable to pay.
This led the girl’s family to bring the case to Oyerepa FM, where a DNA test was carried out.
The Ghanaian teacher, Eric Dwamena, has been vindicated after a DNA test sponsored by the Oyerepa Afutuo program hosted by Anti Naa on Oyerepa FM. The test proved that Eric Dwamen is not the biological father of his former basic school student’s child.
This relief and revelation came after several months of accusations by the grandmother and family Patricia.
